“The process of capturing the intrinsic beauty of a particular time and place with oil paints on canvas brings me great joy.  It is mesmerizing using lines, shapes, and colors to interpret the physical features of a particular landscape as well as the subtle spiritual, historical, and cultural facets of a sacred site.  Growing up and living in such a beautiful place as the Heart of the Rockies, I find myself observing the interaction of the clouds in the sky and their relationship to the mountains, mesas, wildlife, bodies of water, and vegetation.  I am fascinated with the way the sunlight plays upon these shapes and forms. With each changing season, nature provides me with a new palette of colors.  With just a canvas and a brush loaded with pigment, I make brushstroke after brushstroke capturing the essence of a particular time and place, as I humbly interpret one of God's wondrous creations here on earth.”
